Gordon was brought back in May 2014.Gordon DuBois Faust, 84, of Charlevoix, formerly of Marquette, Kan., passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at his home. He was born May 1, 1929, in Peabody, Kan., to Fred and Ruth (DuBois) Faust. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars retiring in 1968 as a Staff Sergeant after twenty years of service to his country.

On March 10, 1969, Gordon married Martha Ann Caruthers in Oklahoma. They made their home in Marquette, Kan., where "Gordy" was employed by Cargill in McPherson, Kan., retiring after 19 years. Gordy and Martha moved to Charlevoix in 1995, where he worked for Ace Hardware for 10 years. Gordy enjoyed working, and he enjoyed NASCAR.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 253 in Marquette, Kan., and the Bethany Lutheran Church in Charlevoix.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Martha A.; children, Eugene (Kami) Faust of Omaha, Neb., Bruce (Deb) Faust of Lonsdale, Minn., Stormy Yeagley of Salina, Kan., Sky'e Farris of Marquette, Kan., Patrick (Lisa) Faust of Charlevoix, Debra Roe of Traverse City, David (Mary) Faust of Warrensburg, Mo.; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sister, Velma Kocher of Stafford, Kan.; many nieces and nephews. Gordon was preceded in death by his son, James; grandson, Jeremy; brothers, Joe and Paul; sister, Pauline.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 10, at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix. Funeral was 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Charlevoix, with the Rev. Dan Fulmer officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in the Marquette Lutheran Cemetery.
