Mr. Mullenbach was born February 13, 1923 in Johnsburg, Mn., to Paul and Mary (Juenger) Mullenbach. He attended Johnsburg and Adams schools. He married Helen Koenigs on July 13, 1943 at Johnsburg. He was a retired George A. Hormel & Co. employee and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Mullenbach, Adams, Mn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Agnes O'Connell, Coralville, Ia.; Pat DeMay, Sadieville, Ky.; Sue and John Warmka, Grand Meadow, Mn. and Joyce and Kim Bergan, Grinnell, Ia.; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill Mullenbach, Boulder, Co.; Paul and Karla Mullenbach, Santa Barbara, Ca.; and Randy and Cindy Mullenbach, Boerne, Tx.; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters-in-law, Erwin and Johanna Mullenbach, Adams; Ed and Dorothy Mullenbach, Plainview; Leon and Jeanette Mullenbach, Red Wing; and Nathan and Dorothy Mullenbach, Johnsburg, Mn.; one sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Melvin Reding, Stacyville, Ia.; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 11, 1992 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Adams, with the Reverend Virgil S. Duellman officiating. Casketbearers were Melvin, Gary and Lyle Mullenbach, Dick Reding, Brian Gonsallus, and Butch Goergen. Organist was Helen King and soloist was Virginia Bissen.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
