Carla M. Hansen, 45, of Bowman, ND, Passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Funeral Services for Carla will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ladner Lutheran Church. Pastor Susan Villmow Fox will officiate with burial to follow in the Bowman Cemetery.
Carla M. Brengle was born on September 24, 1968 in Bowman, ND, the daughter of William "Bill" and Florence (Gunderson) Brengle. Carla was raised in the Ladner community and also attended elementary and grade school there. She then attended and graduated from Harding County High School in Buffalo, SD in 1987.
Carla attended Beauty School for a short while until returning home to the Ladner area. She helped the Hansen Family with their lambing for a couple of years. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Hansen on October 6, 1990 at the Ladner Lutheran Church. After their marriage, they made their home in Rhame where LeRoy would drive to the Hansen Ranch for work and Carla drove to Bowman where she was employed at the Nursing Home.
They later moved down to the Hansen Ranch where they have since made their home and have raised their children.
Carla was a quiet person who loved spending her time with her family. She and LeRoy were always together. She enjoyed quilting, raising her goats, taking care of the bum lambs, making soap, making pasta, canning and reading.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; her children, Kirsti, Samuel, Charlene, Jonathan, Justin and Shelbi and Dalton Pacetti who was thought of as another son to Carla; her mother, Florence; sister, Monica Parfrey and brother, Than Brengle. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carla was preceded in death by her father, William, brother-in-law, Lyle Parfrey and nephew, Tyrel Brengle.
