Two-year-old Jonathan Timothy Regas died Tuesday (June 23, 1998) at Christ Community Hospital, Oak Lawn, from a drowning accident.
He was born May 27, 1996, at Hazel Crest, the son of John L. and Cindy Gersch Regas.
Surviving are his parents of Peotone; two brothers, Justin and Tyler Regas at home; paternal grandparents, John and Frances Regas of Peotone; maternal grandfather, Gerald Gersch of Peotone; aunts, Julie and Jim Worby of Manteno and Carolyn and William Gearhart of Peotone; uncles, Larry and Kris Regas of Downers Grove, Gerald Bersch, Daniel Bersch and Timothy Bersch, all of Peotone; and several cousins.
Deceased is his maternal grandmother, Nellie Jo Gersch.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Friday at Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, Peotone.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Michael Ginter at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Peotone, where he was affiliated.
Burial will be in Peotone Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Regas and Daniel, Gerald and Timothy Gersch.
