Mrs. Magdalena Ehrecke, 84, a life resident of Blue Grass died at 4 p.m. Thursday at Mercy hospital following an illness of ten days.
Mrs. Ehrecke was born Dec. 21, 1860, in Scott county, and received her education in the rural schools. She was married to Rudolph Ehrecke December 25, 1882, in Davenport. The couple farmed three miles west of Blue Grass and her husband preceded her in death August 23, 1910. Mrs. Ehrecke moved from the farm in 1912 and had since resided in Blue Grass. She was of Lutheran faith.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Russell Shellabarger, Blue Grass; three sons, William, Stockton, Alfred, Wilton Junction and Harry, Davenport; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Roth, Blue Grass and Mrs. Mary Frick, Detroit.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m Monday at the Runge chapel, with interment in the Blue Grass cemetery.
