Ludie B. "Sam" Everitt, Jr., age 71, of Warren died Thursday August 19, at Gardner Nursing Home in Star City. Born August 17, 1933 in Payne Springs, Texas a son of the late Ludie Bence Everitt, Sr. and Floyce Holt Everitt.

He was retired machine shop supervisor for Vought Aircraft with 33 and a half years of service, member Hermitage Baptist Church, a Mason, Shriner, member Warren Country Club and U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany.

Also, preceding him in death was a daughter Tracy Ann Everitt. Survivors are his wife Madge Ivey Everitt whom he married May 10, 1958 in Dallas, Texas. 2 sons Clifton Everitt and spouse Julie of Carolton, Texas and Kelly Everitt of Warren. 1 brother Norman Everitt of Eustace, Texas. 2 sisters Sue Wright of Farris, Tx. and Ann Stegall of Eustace, Tx. 2 grandchildren Emily Everitt and Tucker Everitt both of Carrolton, Texas.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 22, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery near Hermitage by Frazer's Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Scott Helms, Scott Helms, II., Greg Helms, Travis Ivey, Noel Richards, Terry Don Richards, Russell Richards and Robert Ivey. Honorary pallbearers were H.P. Reaves, Eugene Sullivan, Frank Vallentine. Joe Burks, Dr. Joe H. Wharton, M.D., James Belin, Eddie O'Neil and Baker Peebles.
