Lorena Mardis Steffen

Lorena Mardis Steffen, 83, of Williamstown, died at 9:25 a.m. Saturday at her home, after a long illness. She was a former midwife for several physicians in the Williamstown area and was a former salesclerk for the Williamstown A & P Grocery. Most recently, she was a salesclerk for the AA-Z Store in Williamstown. She was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church. Her husband, Adam P. Steffen, died in 1986. Survivors include a son, Eddie Scroggins of Williamstown; daughters, Willena Kenner and Anna Katherine Wallace, both of Williamstown, and Betty S. Points of Dry Ridge; sisters, Elizabeth Wagoner of Cynthiana, Ruth Bowman of Covington and Edith Dam of Cincinnati; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be there from 4 to 9 this evening. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Williamstown Baptist Church Building Fund or to the St. Elizabeth Home/Health Hospice in Covington.
