She was the wife of Gustav Wenzel. She was born in Germany and came to St. Clair county when 4 years old and settled in New Athens.
She leaves her husband and the following children:

Mrs. Bertha (Charles) Bender
Mrs. Met (Roland) Stoltz
Mrs. Augusta (Wm.) Vallrath

Mrs. Edna (Roland) Stoltz
Rose Wenzel
... and brother, Louis Stapf/Stapp. She also leaves ten grandchildren.
Mrs. Wenzel was a member of Martha, Elvira and Teutonia lodges and was president of the Ladies Society of Christ Church.
The funeral will be at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon to Christ Church, from 518 West Second street to Walnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. Hempel will conduct the funeral services.
