Hermina J. (Minnie) Wiemers Workman, daughter of Herman and Marie (Harms) Gossman, was born northwest of Humboldt, NE on September 25, 1905. She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Methodist Church in Humboldt and attended the Pine Ridge School. In 1921, she moved to Alma, Nebraska with her mother.

On March 5, 1924 she was united in marriage to Herman B. Wiemers in Alma. To this union three children were born: Eugene, Duane, and Maxine. She joined the Zion Lutheran Church in Alma and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Minnie lived in Alma until 1948, when she and her husband moved to a farm east of Humboldt. Herman Wiemers died in August, 1966. The following year she moved to Humboldt and lived on the northwest corner of 4th and Grand Ave. She was married to Charles O. Workman in August, 1972. Charlie died in December, 1978. Minnie lived at her home in Humboldt until 1999 when she moved to the Colonial Acres Nursing Home. She died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Humboldt on Tuesday, September 4, 2001 having reached the age of ninety-five years, eleven months, and nine days.

Minnie loved to spend time with her family and friends, play Yahtzee, watch Lawrence Welk and Bonanza, crochet afghans and rugs, and made many quilts for grandchildren. She made countless cinnamon rolls for friends, family, and neighbors after someone had passed away or a new baby was born. She was especially close to her niece and nearby neighbor, Zelma Rist.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Maxine and Robert Workman of Humboldt, a daughter-in-law Shirley Wiemers of Bella Vista, AR, a step-daughter Joanne Cordon and her husband Lloyd of Chino Valley, AZ, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, three sisters, husband Herman, husband Charles, two sons, a daughter-in-law, one grandson and two step-grandsons.

Funeral services were held September 8, 2001 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Nebraska and burial was in the Humboldt Cemetery.
