The 1900 census lists him as Guy Criswell, son of Montgomery and Naomi Criswell.
The WWI Draft Card lists him as Guy Lamont Criswell, born Jun 13 1880, machinist for Joseph Reid Gas Engine Co., living at 513 Bissell, Oil City.

Guy Lamont Criswell, 41, of 222 Main Street, died at 9:50 pm yesterday at Oil City Hospital following an operation June 25 for appendicitis and bowel trouble. He was born and spent the greater part of his life near Nickleville, and lived here only a few years.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Naomi Grace, Anna Pearl, and Elva, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery Criswell of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Beals of Prospect Park, Franklin (Rocky Grove); and a brother, Roy L. Criswell of Pittsburgh.

A short prayer service will be at 323 Liberty Street, Franklin, the home of his parents, at 10 am standard time, Friday. The body will be taken to the Presbyterian Church at Nickleville where services will be with Rev. Thomas G. Koontz in charge. Interment will be in Nickleville Cemetery.
