Parents; Clarence Burt & Mary Maureen (Craig) Oliver.
She attended Fulton High School, William Woods College, Central Methodist College, and Washington University.
Upon completion of her formal education, she taught at the Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis.
On June 17, 1945 she married Dr. Vernon S. Fricke. He joined the U.S. Army and subsequently the U.S. Air Force and they then traveled the world and raised five children.
She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Charity Stille Langstaff Chapter. She served as chapter regent member of the state board of the Missouri State Society of the DAR, Missouri State DAR Librarian, and curator of the Missouri DAR Headquarters at Rosalyn Heights in Booneville, MO.
She was also a member of the National society Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century, National Society Daughters of the American Colonists, National Society United States Daughters of 1812, CSDIW Indian Wars and the McCredie Club.
She was a seamstress, a computer wiz, and musician.
Preceded by; son, Robert Alan Fricke, who died in 1990.
Survived by; husband of 57 years, Vernon; four children, John V. Fricke of Paola, KS, Kathryn F. Pietarila of Kansas City, MO, James R. Fricke, of Overland Park, KS, and David O. Fricke, of Laurinburg, NC, three daughters-in-law, Nina, Cindy and Bonnie; nine grandchildren and one brother, Craig Oliver.
