Services for Barbara Hope Flynn Muntz, 68, Frankfort, will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Lecompte-Johnson-Taylor. Dr. John Opsata will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Muntz died Sunday January 2, 2011, after a battle with cancer. A native of Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. "Pete" and Mary Lucy Housechild Flynn. She was retired from Bell South. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post 4075, Bosom Buddies and First Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Muntz; a sister, Betty Ann Flynn; two brothers, James W. "Pete" Flynn and Hardin Kenneth Flynn. She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Privett, Salvisa, KY; three sisters, Mary F. "Sissy" Garland (Jim), Patsy Sue McChesney, Frankfort and Judy K. Webb (Jack), Louisville; four brothers, Gene Dudley Flynn, Frankfort, Norman Franklin Flynn (Barbara), Nicholasville, Jerry D. Flynn, Virginia Beach, VA and Michael Wayne Flynn, Harrison, IN.
Pallbearers will be Corey Lewis, Michael Lewis, James Lewis, Mark McChesney, David McChesney and Eugene McClain. Honorary bearers will be Paul Yocum, Jerry Ward and Kevin Denicola. Visitation will be Tuesday, 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at funeral home.
