Gailord E. Warsop Sr., 79 of Albion
died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at his
home in the care of his family.

Mr Warsop was born on September 4,
1923 in Homer Township to Jesse E.
and Charlie Mae (Nichols) Warsop.
He had been a resident of this area
all of his life, moving to Albion
from Marshall in the late 1980s.

During World War II, he served in
the United States Navy.

Mr. Warsop had been self employed
as a farrier the majority of his
life, traveling, the country with
his brother, Harold, doing blacksmith
work. For many yeary he turned horse
shoes at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds.
He retired in the late 1970s.

In 1946 he married the former Jacqueline
Lydia Hodyc. The marriage ended in
divorce. On March 26, 1994 he
married the former Delores Gail (Prior)
Sullivan in Albion.

He was a member of the Albion Elks Lodge
and was a former member of the Marshall
Moose Lodge. Mr. Warsop enjoyed gardening,
Working with his hands, and listening to
the police scanner. He was a good cook
and enjoyed preparing meals.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; Sons,
Harold L Warsop of Marshall, Donald D.
(Susan) Warsop of Fostoris, OH, Gaidlord
E. Warson Jr. of Marshall, Dale J. (Barb)
Warsop Lanecaster, S.C., and Jon A.
Warsop of Battle Creek; Daughter, Gail
E. (Denny) Phillips of Marshall, and
step-daughter, Patricia A. Sullivan of
Tampa, FL; 12 grandchildren, and 11
great grandchildren; sister, Barbara
Goodman of Marshall. He was preceded
in death by brothers, Harold (Buck),
Duane and LaMar (Red) Warsop, and a
sister, Beverly Dillon.

Services Celebrating his life were held
1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the Craig K.
Kempf Funeral Home with the Rev. George
Luciani officiating. Interment followed
in the Abscota Cemetery, Burlington
Township. Serving as Pallbearers were,
Harold Warsop, Donald Warsop, Gailord
Warsop Jr., Dale Warsop, Kenneth Chamber-
lain, Ronald Warsop, Cameron Phillips,
Jon Warson and John Goodman.
