Theodore Burton Penney Sr. 79 died Tuesday Sept.21, 2004 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born in Walden, N.Y. he resided there until moving to Branchburg 60 years ago. Theodore was a Navy Veteran of W W II attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer in communications. He was a member of the VFW Post # 08371 He was a Mechanical Engineer with Union Carbide Corporation of Bound Brook for 38 years until his retirement in 1987. Theodore was an avid sportsman and mechanic and was a member of the NRA and the Emanon Sportsman Club. Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years Beatrice Caranglo Penney, hisdear son Theodore Burton Penney Jr. and daughter-in-law Joanmarie of Whitehouse Station, his dear daughters Rose Marie Jepsen and son-in-law Wayne of Raritan, Rose Kopp and son-in-law Harry of Toms River, his loving grandchildren Laureen McGee, Michelle Wheeler, Nicole Penney, Sharon Smith, Daniel Semitschew, Eric Jepsen, Michael Kopp and Lisa Preisler, nine great grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Highway 202 south, Branchburg, N.J. Interment will follow in the Readington Reformed Church Cemetery, Readington, N.J. Visitation hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
