Judy Klenke, nee Elbert, 70, Washington, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Washington. Judy, daughter of the late Julius Elbert and wife Emma, nee Kamler, was born March 8, 1944, in Washington. She was proud to be "Established Washington." Judy enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, especially assisting with weddings. In recent years, her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was so proud of her family and all of their achievements. Judy is survived by three children, Jill Poepsel and husband Tim, Washington, Kelly Basler and husband Bran, Imperial, and Jeff Klenke and wife Melanie, Fishers, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Will, Jamie, Liz, Shelby, Weston, Brenden, Meghan and Carson; one great-grandchild, Kylie; two sisters, Laverne Beste, and Marilyn Bleckman and husband Moe, all of Washington; two siblings-in- law, Alice Elbert, Krakow, and Rich Meyer, Washington; former husband, Denny Klenke, Houstonia; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Emma Elbert; two siblings, Bud Elbert and Dorothy "Tudy" Meyer; and one brother-in-law, Adolph Beste.
