PFC GEORGE DANIEL THEISEN
George was born on September 23, 1946. The family relocated to Fort Myers Beach in 1959 from the east coast of Florida. He attended St Francis Xavier Elementary, Fort Myers Junior High and graduated from Fort Myers High School in the Class of 1965. He was a fine artist and loved to fish. With his good looks, he made friends easily, especially with the girls.
He joined the Marine Corps and was sent to Vietnam, On December 13, 1966, he gave his life for his country in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam
He received a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Presidential Unit citation, National Defense, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit citation, and Vietnam Campaign Medals
The VFW Post 10097 of Fort Myers Beach
is named in his honor.
