The following obituary appeared in the La Salle Daily News Tribune on April 26,
1976:
PETER ELLERBROCK--
Havana- Peter V. Ellerbrock, 77, of Rt. 1, Havana, Illinois at 11:45 a.m. Sunday in
his residence. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hurley Funeral Home,
Havana, the Rev. Dale Kooi officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery there.
Mr. Ellerbrock was born in Peru May 29, 1898, to Frank and Elizabeth Schweickert
Ellerbrock. He married Bernice Smith June 30, 1966. Surviving are his wife; one
stepson, Wilbur Smith of Hazelwood, Missouri; three stepgrandchildren; five
brothers, Aloysius of Millington, Frank and Henry of Ladd, Bernard of Peru and
Joseph of Webster Park, and one sister, Mrs. Al Gans of Lewisville, Texas. Mr.
Ellerbrock was a retired brick mason.
The State Journal-Register of Springfield, Illinois carried the same obituary on April
26, 1976 but included that he was a former Springfield, Illinois resident.
