Mr. Ambrose J. "Joe" Zimmerer, 87, of Louisville, was born October 27, 1917, in Louisville. He returned to his Heavenly Father on January 8, 2004, at Baptist Hospital East. Mr. Zimmerer was a special agent with the United States Internal Revenue Service and an Army veteran. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Helen J. Zimmerer; two daughters; four grandchildren; five great-grandchil-dren; and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Zimmerer will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, family-owned, Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road, where friends may kindly visit from 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow the funeral in St. Michael's Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Okolona Church of Christ.
