Christina T. Leist went to meet her Savior and Friend on April 18, 2014.

She was born February 7, 1928 at her Grandmother's home in Woodward, Oklahoma, the first of 10 ten children born to Richard and Pearl Teten.

Her father was one of OG&E's original lineman and foreman and her mother was Court Clerk in Woodward County for 24 years.

She was proud that her family had twins and triplets, 9 girls and one boy. She graduated high school in Woodward and attended one year at Oklahoma University, majoring in art.

She survived the 1947 tornado and married Vernon C. Leist a wheat farmer and cattle rancher in Ellis and Harper Counties, that same year.

She helped organize Girl Scouting in NW Oklahoma and served on the Cherokee Strip Girl Scout Council for many years.

She was an active 4-H leader and mentor.

She was an extremely talented artist, painter and seamstress, who tirelessly used her talents to help her family and many other children in Woodward and Harper Counties.

In 1974 she moved to Oklahoma City and trained in interior design. For many years, she was the owner designer of Christina T. Leist Interiors. In the early 1980s she had a store in Nichols Hills Plaza and decorated many beautiful homes. She worked on several of the annual Symphony Show Homes.

She was an active member of the Salvation Army.

She was an active member of the Cherokee Hills Baptist Church and cherished her friends from the church.

She is survived by her children and daughter in laws Greg and Jae Leist, Richard and Cecilia Leist and Diana Leist Voigt; her grandchildren Kara, Danny and Deidre Leist and Christina Voigt, 5 of her sisters Billie Clark, Dixie Wofford, Josephine Richards, Jane Brock and Kathy Ruse.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and siblings Betty, Maxine, Harry and Helen.
