FIELDON -- Eugene J. Esselborn, 66, of Rte. 1, Fieldon, died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday at his home.
He was a retired iron worker out of Local 392 in East St. Louis.
Surviving are his widow, the former Margaret Kohntopp; a son, Harold E. of Fairview Heights; a stepson, Bill Spence of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three brothers, William, Raymond and Robert; two sisters, Miss Mary Ethelborn (sic) and Mrs. Gertrude Hohmann, all of Indianapolis, Ind. and two grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Belleville.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville and from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville.
