SUNRAY — Carl "Freight Train" Hogue, 84, of Sunray, died Sunday, April 27, 2014.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bible Baptist Church in Sunray with the Revs. Seth Seale, pastor of the church, Roy Harris, pastor of New Life Fellowship, and Danny Hendricks, pastor of New Life Fellowship, officiating. Burial will follow in Lane Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors of Sunray.

Carl was born June 29, 1929, to Otto and Bessie Weaver Hogue in Tupelo, Okla. He married LaVerne Hutchinson on Feb. 22, 1999, in Stinnett.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters: Velma Haldeman and Tammie Rogers, both of Dumas and Pattie Salcido of Amarillo; six sons, Gary Hogue of Ada, Okla., Jackie Cole of Sentinel, Okla., Lonnie Cole of Darkus, Ark., Ray Davis of Port Bryon, N.Y., Johnnie Davis of Oklahoma City and Oscar Davis of Sunray; two brothers, Melvin Hogue of Sunray and Eldon Hogue of Tupelo, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; and numerous great-and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15186, Austin, TX 78761; or American Cancer Society, 403 Pear St., Dumas, TX 79029.
