Lawrence L. Seyfried, 59, died at 12:05 PM Sunday, Sept. 29, 1985, following an illness of 15 years and hospitalized the past four months. A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, he was born March 5, 1926. His marriage was to Wilma Mae Gregory on February 25, 1949; she died in 1983.

Mr. Seyfried was formerly employed at Oscar Winski Co., retiring a number of years ago due to failing health. He was a World War II Navy veteran, and a member of Hope Chapel Presbyterian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda (Mrs. William) Hull, Brenda (Mrs. William) Wendling, both of Lafayette, and Shirley (Mrs. Lawrence) Gunckle of Martinsville; a son, Lawrence Seyfried, Jr. of Rensselaer; two brothers, Thomas Seyfried of Lafayette and Paul Seyfried of Mission City, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Roberta Woods of Lafayette and Mrs. Barbara Shelby of Attica; and eleven grandchildren. Service Oct. 2, Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, the Rev. Donald E. Howitz officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
