Shawnee resident Kenneth R. Enright, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 11, at Norman Regional Hospital.
He was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Perry to Walter and Lena (Frank) Enright.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Vicksburg during World War II.

On Nov. 27, 1947, he married Maudie Ellen Brackett in Oklahoma City.

He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a linesman then later as a switchman before retiring in 1986. Enright served as president of Southwestern Bell Credit Union and also the C.W.A.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Ellen; one sister and two brothers.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Delores E. and Eugene Smith of Shawnee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Enright of Shawnee, Dale and Boots Enright of Shawnee; five grandchildren, Nelda Smith, April Reynolds, Amber Keyes, Jennifer Rimer, Jason Enright; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Laynie, Baylie, Alex and Breydon; brother, Larry Enright of Bethany; several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
