Funeral services for Anita Alvina Louise Reimnitz were held May 6 at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Dimock, with the Rev. David Otten officiating. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home, Armour.
Casketbearers were Adam Reimnitz, Spencer Reimnitz, Jaycent Reimnitz, Jedidiah Reimnitz, Christopher Reimnitz, Gregg Mueller, Shawn Mathis and Jeff Mueller.
Anita Alvina Louise Reimnitz was born Dec. 6, 1923, to Ernst and Louisa (Koehlmoos) Gemelke in Pilger, Neb. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Pilger and attended country school in Stanton County, Neb. She married George Reimnitz June 20, 1948, in Pilger, Neb. Together, they farmed west of Dimock for 20 years. In 1967, they moved to a farm east of Corsica, where she lived until moving to Prairie Villa in Armour in 2012. George died June 27, 2007. Anita was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church west of Dimock.
In March 2014, she became a resident of Good Samaritan Society, Corsica, where she died Thursday, May 1, at the age of 90.
She is survived by eight children: Russell (Gladys) Reimnitz, Mitchell, Karin (Howard) Mueller, Milbank, Marjean (Larry) Moeller, Mitchell, Douglas (Bonnie) Reimnitz, Corsica, Joyce (Ira) Van Drongelen, Harrison, David (Jane) Reimnitz, Sioux Falls, James (Dawn Steen) Reimnitz, Sioux Falls, and Sheila (Luke) Schafer, Gillette, Wyo.: sister, Mildred Janulewicz; sister-in-law, Bernitha Gemelke; brother-in-law, Robert Bruggeman; and 33 grandchildren, one step-grandchild, 26 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, two brothers, Herbert and Emil Gemelke, and three sisters, Gertrude Vollmer, Wilhelma Kemper and Viola Bruggeman.
