He was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Goldie and Eska (Wigal) Wilson.
He retired from E.I. Dupont April 1982 after 32 years of service. He ran a Christmas Tree Farm on Core Road. He was a U.S. American Merchant Marine veteran. Paul was an active member of Beechwood Presbyterian Church for 55 years and enjoyed helping around the church.
He is survived by a daughter Marcia L. Arnold (Jerry) of Dacula, Ga.; grandson Jeffrey Leonard (Katrina), great grandsons Jacob Leonard and Christopher Yorkyy, all of Hilliard, Fla.; step grandson Jason Arnold of Georgia; two step great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Martha L. (Brown) Wilson, and two brothers George Wilson and Pearl Wilson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beechwood Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Rick Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery North. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beechwood Presbyterian Church, 703 30th St., Parkersburg WV 26101.
