Ronald Carl Hofmann, 68, of Timbercreek Nursing Home in Pekin IL, formerly of San Jose, IL died Monday, May 5, 2014 at 8:35 pm. He was born August 27, 1945 in Red Bud, IL to Karl and Louise (Leiber-Studt) Hofmann. He was preceded in death by his parents, a child sister, an infant sister, and sister JoAnn Hofmann.

Ronald is survived by; his daughter Sherilyn (Christopher) Gregory and granddaughter Romilyn Carrean of Pahrump, Nevada; his brother Donald A. Hofmann of San Jose; sister Janet E. (Donald) Cookson of Forest City; nephew Dale A. Cookson of Arenzville; niece Luann (John) Bader and niece Aletta Monks, all of Pekin; 9 great nieces and nephews; 6 great-grand nieces and nephews.

Ronald worked for G M & O Railroad of Bloomington, IL for 30 years as well as farm work and all kinds of odd jobs.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City, IL at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held two hours prior to services from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM also at the funeral home. Pastor David Atterberry will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded after services.
