Carolyn Slaughter Cahn, 64, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Roanoke, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Ralph and Fern McGhee Slaughter. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Bobby Slaughter. Mrs. Cahn was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and currently employed with Colonial Orthopedics for 25 years. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Edward Cahn; her children, Stephen Cahn; Jessica Roberts and husband, Craig and Jonathan Cahn and companion, Ashley all of Colonial Heights; two granddaughters, Zoria and Brooklyn Roberts; a sister, Rosemary Farmer of Richmond; a brother, Mike Slaughter of Roanoke; nieces, nephews and other family members. The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 for a Graveside Service to be held at 11:00 a.m. in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon with Deacon Roger Kemp. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
