Patrick James "Pat" Krejci, age 57, of Wharton, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 in Wharton following an accident. He was born on March 31, 1952 in Shiner, the son of Eugene Krejci and Martha Jemelka Krejci.

Mr. Krejci has been a resident of Wharton for the past 31 years and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Hungerford. He was a graduate of Moulton High School and Texas State Technical Institute in Waco. Mr. Krejci married Loretta Ann Miculka on April 1, 1978 in Hungerford. He was the owner of Pat's Diesel and Road Service in Wharton for the past 19 years. Mr. Krejci was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the KJT. His hobbies included working with his cows, barbecuing and playing dominoes.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Hungerford and a Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today, Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at St. John's Catholic Church in Hungerford with Rev. Dominic Antwi-Boasiako officiating. Cremation will follow.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Krejci of Wharton; daughters and sons-inlaw, Alison and Josh Scott of Tomball and Lesley and Dan Spring of Wharton; son, Wesley Krejci of Wharton; parents, Eugene and Martha Krejci of Moulton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marian and Ben Darilek of Moulton and Lori and Richard Marquette of Victoria; brothers and sisters in-law, Chris and Beverly Krejci of Victoria and Wayne and Beatrice Krejci of Moulton; grandchildren, Noah Patrick Scott, Kyndall Grace Spring and Keigan Andrew Spring.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Ivy, Wayne Miculka, Tommy Jansky, Rusty Miculka, Larry Bo" Bubela, Brian Darilek, Ryan Krejci and Kevin Krejci. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Coffee Shop Crew and all of his many close friends and family.

In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to the church or a charity of personal choice. Funeral services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
