Victor Paul Crome, 52, of Burlington died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at a doctor's office in Sycamore. He was born March 5, 1911 at Denver, Colo, the son of the late William and Wilhelmina Wassermann Crome. He was married to Alvina Newbury June 21, 1941 and they resided in Elburn for three years prior to moving to the Burlington area where he engaged in farming until the time of his death. Besides the widow, surviving are three daughter, Mrs. Charles(Karen ) Choitz of Hampshire, Sharon and Barbara and a son, Victor Jr. at-home; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Holle of Bremen, Kansas, and Mrs. Norman Peters of Mission, S.D.; two brothers, Sylvus and William Crome, both of Beatrice, Neb.; and two grandchildren. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Burlington, where funeral services were held Saturday, the Rev. Paul Brumner officiating. Burial was in Burlington Union Cemetery friends called at the Fredrick funeral home, Hampshire from 2 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday after which friends called at the Lutheran Church until time of funeral services.
