Melvin C. Paape Sr. age 88 of Crete, Il. passed away on Saturday May 24th. at his home. Melvin is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Nee: Richardson ) his loving children: Melvin C. Paape Jr., Valerie (John) Harrell, Michael (Teresia) Paape, Vanessa Paape-Young, and Myron Paape. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Florence Cameron and Eva Mae Exo, a sister-in-Law Phyllis Paape and a brother-in-Law Albert Armellino. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Allen and Raymond Paape and 2 sisters, Bernice Hunholtz and LaVerne Armellino and his parents Martin and Catherine Paape.Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Crete, Il. Melvin was a 40 year employee of NICOR Gas Co.
