Mrs. Phyllis Tupper Tiso, 87 , of Heritage Village, Southbury, CT., and formerly of Ridgefield, CT, died Friday June 1, 2012 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was the wife of Remo J. Tiso. Mrs. Tiso was born in New Rochelle, NY and was the daughter of the late Philip Stanley Tupper and Leila Evelyn Moore Tupper. She was for many years the chairman of the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee and an avid reader. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. In addition to her loving husband of 69 years, she is survived by two sons, Gary Tiso and his wife Carol, of Pawling, NY., Philip Tiso and his wife Robin of Cheshire, two daughters, Janine Helbig and her husband David of New Milford, and Phyllis Martin and her husband Jeffrey of Southbury, a sister Lois Tupper - Zmitrovis of Hardy, VA, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Tupper Tiso and one grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 5th from 4 to 8pm at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. All other services will be held privately.
