Westminster, SC – Walter "Walt" Edward Nubel, Jr., 78, of 235 Dixon Road, passed away July 2, 2010 at Oconee Medical Center.

Born in New York, NY to the late Walter Edward Nubel Sr., and Catherine Dettloff Nubel, he was a Senior Director in the VIP Aircraft Maintenance and modification field and was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Jonnie Morehead; sons: Walter Nubel and wife Jodi, Michael Nubel and wife Michelle, Thomas Nubel and wife Janet and Chip Aubrey Johnson; daughters: Carol Selawski and husband David, Mary Nubel and Michele Nubel; brother Edward Nubel; sister Patricia Rogerson and Kathleen Jennings; 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, his brother James Nubel preceded him in death.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at St. Paul's The Apostle Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial will follow in Ramsey Creek Preserve.

The family is at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. A message of condolence may be written to the family by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com
