Together, Chris and Sarah had 12 children: John Christopher, Berton Duffield, Ollie Christina, Oscar, Louise Ellen, Harry, Edward Robert, Florence, Claude Raymond, Clifford Frank, and Ernest Alvin. Sarah died on January 14, 1914, giving birth to their final son, Ernest Alvin Richmann.
