On June 7, 2014, Helen passed into the loving arms of Jesus with grace and dignity surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicopee on July 10, 1920, Helen was the daughter of the late Jozef and Katarzyna (Rozowski) Cyboron and was a lifelong resident of that city. She was a proud graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1939. Helen was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Basilica and belonged to many church organizations including the Rosary Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Beautiful Years Club. She especially loved making pierogies in the parish hall with church members for the holidays. Helen was blessed to have many lifelong friends, some of whom were in her weekly knitting club. She also enjoyed her many trips to the Connecticut casinos. Helen held retail sales positions in area department stores including Forbes & Wallace, Ferris and Balakiers. Besides her parents, Helen was pre-deceased by her husband, Theodore J. Peltier, brother, Chester Cyboron, son-in-law, Thomas Berte and grandson David Berte. She leaves behind her five devoted children and their families: Theodore and Frances Peltier, Christine Berte, William Peltier, Nancy and John Benoit and Thomas and Donna Peltier, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren to cherish her memory. Helen also leaves a sister-in-law, Ann Cyboron and her family. Helens funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee Center at 10 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St. in Chicopee at 11 am. Her burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours are on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus School, 534 Front St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
