Bernice Toschi Fix, 86, of Pleasanton, CA, passed away May 20, 2014. She was preceded in death by husband, James R. Fix, daughter Marcia Fix and grandson Aaron Hoover. She is survived by daughters Donna Stevenson (Scott) of Rocklin, CA, Debbie Fix of Lodi, CA, son Matthew Fix (Carol) of Fort Collins, CO, brother Ron Toschi (Dwight) of Daily City, CA, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Bernice was born in San Francisco in 1928 and grew up in the Cow Hollow neighborhood, attending Marina Junior High where she met the love of her life, James Fix, and later graduated from Galileo High School. They were married in 1946, moved to Martinez, CA, and later to Pleasanton. They were married for 63 years, until his death in 2009.

A celebration of Bernice's life will take place on Wednesday, June 11 at the National Cemetery in Dixon, CA at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Bernice are suggested to your favorite charity in the name of Bernice Toschi Fix.
