Mrs. Anna Gerling, 60, nee Koss, a resident of Palatine for about 20 years, died Wednesday morning in Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines, after an extended Illness.
She was born in Chicago, Oct. 5, 1913.
Visitation is today from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Ahlgrlm and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N, Northwest Hwy., Palatine, and Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Surviving are her husband, Peter J.; three sons, Peter J. III and Edward, both of Hoffman Estates and John of Peeos, N.M.; a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Cichon of Roselle; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Oken of Chicago and Mrs. Margaret Ruffing of Phoenix, Ariz., and a brother, Frank Koss of Chicago.
Prayers for Mrs. Gerling will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home. Then the body will be taken to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 465 N. Benton St., Palatine, where a funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
