There are multiple errors and inconsistencies in the records for this person. His original birth records in the Bergholz entries for Mewegen, in Kreis Randow, show his birth name as WILHELM FRIEDRICH FERDINAND HANDRICH - and a verified birth date of 24 February 1853. In spite of contemporaneous death records, including his newspaper obituary and death certificate, his death took place on 8 May 1921. So, for obscure reasons, both the year of his birth AND the year of his death are incorrect on his marker.
