WESTMONT — KILLINGER – Ruth Isabelle, 85, Westmont, passed away May 22, 2014, at Cambria Care Center. Born May 20, 1929, in Johnstown, daughter of Frank E. Sr. and Nora Mae (Retallack) Chase. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert Killinger; and sisters, Dora Siska, Esther Maser and Mary Temoshanka. Survived by daughter, Kathy, married to Gene Hipp, Westmont; and grandchildren, Joseph Benshoff and Michelle (Benshoff) Shaffer; also great-grandchildren, Shiela Marie Bruner, Katelynn Rose Bruner, Chyanne Shaffer, Jeremiah Shaffer and Dominic White. Sister of Patsy Chase, William Chase, Judie Frollo, Frank Chase Jr. and Nancy (Chase) Miller, all of Johnstown. Retired from the housekeeping department of the former Mercy Hospital in Johnstown. Ruth was an active participant at the Senior Center of Johnstown and was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed many casino trips with family and friends. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Private inurnment at Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Ruth Killinger's memory. Condolences may be sent to ozogfh.com.
