Johanna Schauer, A Former Lodian, Taken By Death
Mrs. Johanna Christina Schauer, 58, of San Mateo, a former resident of Lodi, died Saturday in a San Francisco hospital after a long illness.
Born in Irving, Alberta, Canada, she moved with her parents to Lodi in 1922.
She graduated from the local schools and in 1930 she was married to Albert Schauer, manager of the local Bank of American.
In 1944 they moved to Red Bluff where they stayed until 1950 when they returned to Lodi. Four years later, when Schauer was transferred to the bank's main branch in San Francisco, they moved to San Mateo.
While residing in Lodi Mrs. Schauer was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Albert H. Schauer of San Mateo; two daughters; one brother, John J. Koenig and one sister, Mrs. Violet Zenk.
