Mr. Focken died at 11:30 AM, on Mon., Oct. 3, 2005 at Sugar Creek Care Center in Watseka. He was born March 5, 1917 in Watseka to Tobias and Martha Ahrends Focken. He married June Harwood in Gilman, IL on June 16, 1940. She survives.
Other survivors include 1 son, Gary and Linda Focken of Kokomo, IN; 1 daughter, Harlean Barth of Chicago, IL; 1 nephew; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr Focken was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Crescent City and Lutheran Brotherhood. He farmed in the Crescent City and Martinton areas for many years. He was a 4-H leader for 25 yrs; Martinton Dawnbusters, and was on the soil and water conservation board for over 20 yrs and Iroquois Historical Society. He was a Red Cross volunteer in Crescent City for over 20 yrs.
Mr. Focken enjoyed golfing and high school sports.
