Thomas Charles Wellen, 72, Indiana, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000 at his home.
The son of Charles William and Mabel Marie Hendrickson Wellen, he was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Homer City.
Mr. Wellen lived most of his life in Indiana County, where he was co-owner of P.C. Walters Dodge-Chrysler-Plymouth Automobile Dealership in Blairsville.
He served on the Indiana Borough Zoning Board and was a juvenile probation officer for Indiana County. He was a former member of the Indiana Optimist Club, where he was in volved with the Indiana Little League program.
He was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Maxine R. Wellen; one daughter, Linda Robertson and her husband, William, Natrona Heights; a son, Thomas W. Wellen and his wife, Beverly Adams, Newtown; three grandchildren; Hillary Maxine Bryce, Justin Thomas and Jason Charles Wellen and one great-grandson, Michael Thomas Bryce and two brothers, William Wellen, Homer City, and James Wellen, Vero Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and Richard Wellen , and two sisters, Louise Kenly and Cora, an infant.
