Jacquleen Mary Monette was born at Ramona, SD on April 13, 1929 to Melbourne and Christina (Rensch) Monette.
She married Harold Riedel at Ramona on October 30, 1947. He preceeded her in death in 1971.
She is survived by two sons - Jim of The Villages, FL and Greg of Firestone, CO; four daughters - Janice (Rick) Wales of Mobridge, SD Deborah (Gary) Keever of Denver, CO. Vickie (Bob) Habeger of Carnelian Bay, CA, Judy (David) Bunker of Colton, SD and Cheryl (Kevin) Meyer of Brookings, SD. 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. One brother - David Monette of Ramona and one sister - Beverly (Merlin) Riedel of Madison.
She was also preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and a great grandchild.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 30, 2014 at St William Catholic Church in Ramona with Rev Paul Josten officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She grew up on a farm near Ramona. She graduated from Ramona High School. They farmed near Ramona until moving into Ramona in 2006. She worked at the Ramona Cafe and Ramona Bar. She also did domestic cleaning.
She moved to Bethel Home in Madison in 2009. She was a member of St William Altar Society, Ramona American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and quilting.
There will be a Parish Scripture Service at 5:00 PM on Sunday at Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
