Mrs. Garvin was born at Franklin Grove, IL., Jan. 8, 1881, daughter of Silas and Savanah (Dumbauld) Kregor.
The former Pearl Kregor married John Garvin at Bloomington, Aug. 6, 1903.
After their marriage, the couple farmed north of Wenona until 1957, when they moved to Santa Monica, California. They had returned to Wenona to visit, Mrs. Garvin becoming ill two weeks after they arrived.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Lois Morrison of Santa Monica, Calif.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas (Mary C.) Radke of Mill Valley, 'Calif ; one great grandchild: three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hiltabrand, Mrs. Ruby Tjaden, and Mrs. Elsie Judd, all of Santa Monica, Calif.
