On March 8, 1898 in Taunton, MA, Manuel Coelho was born to Vicente, a laborer & Mary Rozario, both natives of the W. Islands.

In Sep 1918 Manuel Pedro Coelho filed his WWI draft registration card when he was single, living at 63 Floral Street, Taunton and working as a driver for the White-Warner Company on West Water Street. At that time he was described as being tall with a slender build, black eyes and black hair.

Funeral from the O’Keefe Funeral Home Saturday Nov 17 at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to be present. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Manuel P. Coelho, 81 of 56 Toledo Street, East Falmouth, died at his home Wednesday following a long illness. He was the husband of Mary E. (Dias) Coelho. A retired foreman of the Reed and Barton Silver Company, he was born in Taunton and educated in city schools. He had lived in East Falmouth for the past 25 years. He was the son of the late Vincent and Marie (Ferrie) Coelho.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. George (Elizabeth) McLaughlin of Taunton; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Silva, Mrs. John (Emma) Vasconselles, both of Taunton, Mrs. James (Veda) Sheriff of Pawtucket, RI; four brothers, Joseph P., Vincent P. Coelho, both of Taunton, Frank P. Coelho of Seekonk and William P. Coelho of Boston; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
