Lloyd H. Kiefer, 73, of 415 Crimson Dr. NE, died Monday, Feb. 14, 1994, at Manor Care after a short illness. Private family memorial services: Thursday Cedar memorial Mausoleum Columbarium. There will be no visitation. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; three daughters; two sisters. Also surviving are four grandchildren.

Lloyd was born March 9, 1920 in Oelwein, the son of Wyatt and Pearl Kester Kiefer. He married Leatta Jorgensen March 4, 1944. They were later divorced. He then married Eileen Langlas Jan. 27, 1979, in Iowa City. He graduated from Stanley Consolidated High School in 1937.

He taught high school at Waterville, Oelwein and Central City. Later he worked as a security guard at Rockwell. Most recently he retired from Nash Finch, where he had been employed for several years. Lloyd and Tate Cummins started "Outdoor Iowa" on WMT Radio and he was the Iowa conservation officer of Linn County. He was a Hospital Dad with El Kahir Shrine. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, hunting and all outdoor sports. Memorial donations may be given to the El Kahir Hospital Dad's Transportation Fund.
