Philip Jung, 91, died Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend, following a four-week illness.
He was born July 4, 1874, in the Town of Wayne, Washington County, the son of Philip and Mary Damm Jung. He married Mary Ohrmund on Feb. 11, 1897, in Wayne. Her death occurred in 1954. He had farmed in the Wayne and Fond du Lac County areas, retiring in 19497 and moving to Campbellsport.
Survivors include five sons, Oscar, Town of Farmington, Herbert, West Bend, Welmer and Edward, Milwaukee, and Paul, Hartford, Conn.; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Brandt, Highland Park, Ill., Mrs. Lena Klein, Gulfport, Fla., and Miss Esther Jung, Campbellsport, with whom he resided; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Salem United Church of Christ at Wayne, Rev. Herbert Felerabend officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
