Mrs. Klein was born August 25, 1883, at Alexanderthal, Russia, to Frederich and Maria Stair, and in the year 1897 came with her parents to America, settling near Wilson, Kansas. To this union ten children were born: eight sons and two daughters. One son preceded her in death, as did three brothers and three sisters. Her aged mother died in May of this year.
Mrs. Klein accepted Christ in her maiden years and was baptized and joined Emmanuel Baptist church of Marion in 1900 by the Reverend Jacob Ehrlich. She has been steadfast in her faith and zealous and faithful to the church all her life. She and Mr. Klein were looking forward with joy to their golden wedding anniversary on September 11.
