Josephine Goralski Dec. 16, 1935 - July 8, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Josephine Goralski, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in the Sunrise Senior Living Center, Naperville, IL. Josephine was born December 16, 1935, in South Bend, to the late Julian and Regina (Budzinski) Korn. Josephine was also preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, William Goralski, and brothers, Julian and Jerome Korn. Survivors of Josephine include her children, Patrick (Kim) Goralski of Indianapolis, IN, Mark (Peggy) Goralski of Naperville, IL, and Lori (Tom) Eyth of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Joshua, Bethany and Hannah Goralski, Jacob, Elizabeth and Mary Eyth; sister, Judy Korn of Fort Wayne, IN; several special nieces, nephews, cousins; and many loving friends who supported her along the way. Josephine was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and Holy Cross School of Nursing; she then went on to study at the University of St. Francis where she obtained her Master's Degree of Nursing. Josephine retired in 2013 from St. Joseph Regional Medical Center after many years where she was very active in her professional nursing field and held many different positions. While Josephine's children were in school, she was active with Marion High School fundraising. Most of all, she was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Visitation for Josephine will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am Saturday, July 12, 2014, in the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fort WayneSouth Bend, 1817 Miami St., South Bend, IN 46613; St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami Street, South Bend, IN 46613; or American Cancer Society , 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
