Bettie was born in Sayre, OK to William and Rosa McFarland.

Bettie came from a large family of three sisters Thelma, Faye and Lois, and three brothers, J.D., William and Dwight.

She married her high school sweetheart in 1930 and they moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1935, and later to Fresno, CA to be closer to her family.

Bettie worked for Lockheed during World War II, and later became a beauty consultant for Studio Girl Cosmetics. She loved this profession and received many awards throughout the years for top sales.

She was a member of the Woodward Park Church of Christ where she made many wonderful friends over the years.

Bettie was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Allen Sattler.

Bettie is survived by Asa Robert, her beloved husband of 75 years; a daughter, Patricia Ann Kelly; four grandchildren, Stanley Sattler, Debra Janzer, Phil Janzer and Donna Sattler-Neely; four great-grandchildren, Alexandria Neely, Natalie Neely, Justin Janzer and Richard Janzer; and two sisters, Faye Sarrels and Lois Carpenter.

Visitation will be at Boice Funeral Home on Thursday, February 9, 2006, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A

Funeral Service will be held at Boice Funeral Home on Friday, February 10, 2006, at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.

A reception immediately following at the Woodward Park Church of Christ.
