Seneca Falls - Angelina "Betty" E. Deming, 86, formerly of Anthony Drive, Seneca Falls, N.Y., died Tuesday (October 22, 2013) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, N.Y. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Thursday (October 24) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday (October 25) at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, Seneca Falls. If desired, contributions may be made to Huntington Living Center for patient needs, 369 E. Main St., Waterloo, N.Y. 13165.
Betty was born in Auburn, N.Y. on March 28, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph & Marion Lamphere DelSanto. She had resided in Seneca Falls since 1976 moving from Rochester, N.Y. She had attended St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. Betty was a very independent woman who could be seen every day as she walked around Seneca Falls. She, also, liked to knit, bake, and cook but most of all Betty was always there for anybody and anyone.
She is survived by: one daughter, Kathleen (Daniel) Gotham of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Hilary (Ross) Reinwald of Bel Air, Maryland, Lindsay (Josh Cornue) Gotham of Rochester, N.Y., Troy Gotham of Seneca Falls, N.Y., one great-grandson Parker Daniel Reinwald of Bel Air, Maryland; two sisters, Jean Guthrie of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Shirley Porcelli of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; brother-in-law Philip "Benny" Longo of Waterloo, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, David "Mort" Deming who died June 27, 1989; her sister, Barbara Longo who died January 18, 2009; two brothers-in-law, Earl R. Guthrie who died January 14, 1994 and Peter Porcelli who died November 17, 2010.
